OFF THE STREETS (OTS) is a 501 ( c) (3) nonprofit charitable organization registered with the IRS and with the states of Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and California-so far. It provides a security deposit (paid directly to the landlord) and basic furniture and living needs to homeless persons who have a means of paying a monthly rent. No government funding is taken. There are no paid staff, no professional fundraisers, no offices, and no utilities to pay. All furniture and other living needs are donated.
