Published with the IZA, this volume presents Richard Easterlin's outstanding research on the analysis of subjective well-being, and on the relationship between demographic developments and economic outcomes. Richard A. Easterlin is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a former Guggenheim Fellow, and Past President of the Population Association of America, and the Economic History Association. He was awarded the 2009 IZA Prize in Labour Economics.
