Intertwined in Phil's drama is that of Amanda who is a New York based top model originally from Guyana but who grew up in Barbados after fleeing Guyana following a close shave with an assassination of her virtue and vengeful retribution for attacking the unsuccessful assassin.. Amanda is gorgeous smart, ambitious and an obvious chink in Phil's armour .Phil's involvement with Amanda causes him more grief than pleasure as news of his infidelity makes its way to Jade his wife, who herself is guilty, but by way of coercion. Phil is led to believe that his wife has had an affair with the man he despises most in life Jimmy Cadogan. He is incensed enough to set in motion plans of killing Jade while in a fit of rage after being informed of her encounter with Jimmy by none other than Jimmy himself. Phil is saved from his self determined downfall by his longtime friend from school days, Teddy. Teddy is a character himself who marches to the beat of his own drum but his heart and allegiance is true when it comes to Phil. Jimmy Cadogan is a hateful person, an older successful attorney lacking in morals but rich in money and ambition, His mission is to destroy Phil Ferguson and gain financially in the process, sleeping with Jade is the feather in the proverbial cap. In the end Jimmy's arrogance, megalomania and utter need to do his will becomes his stumbling block..
