Grow It, Show It! ist die erste umfassende fotografische Ausstellung in Deutschland zum Thema Haare. Historische und zeitgenössische Fotografien, Videos und Filmausschnitte zeigen Körperhaare oder deren Abwesenheit und beleuchten sie aus verschiedenen inhaltlichen, formal-ästhetischen und medialen Perspektiven. Der Katalog enthält neben einer umfangreichen Bildstrecke eine künstlerische Intervention und zehn interdisziplinäre Texte, die den Themenkomplex aus kunst- und kulturwissenschaftlicher Perspektive beleuchten. Im Fokus stehen die politischen, religiösen und sozialen Dimensionen, die sich in der Kunst-, Mode- und Werbefotografie manifestieren.
