Buffalo is a multi-purpose livestock species in many countries particularly in south Asia and is source of employment to the farmers. India has largest population of buffalo, but still Indian buffaloes are poor producers. Season plays an important role in reproductive efficiency of this animal. Buffaloes are polyestrus, yet they exhibit a distinct seasonal variation in display of estrus and calving rate. Breeding efficiency is highest in winters and lowest in summer. Thus temperature has a potent effect on the ovarian function and thus fertility in buffaloes. Sasan, Jasvinder SinghDr. Jasvinder Singh Sasan did his B.V.Sc degree from SKUAST-Jammu in 2009. Then he joined GADVASU, Ludhiana in same year for his M.V.Sc in veterinary anatomy. He completed his post graduation in 2011 and then joined ACVM, Jaipur and worked as Assistant Professor for 1 year.
