This book is about teaching Leadership and Saints to grow churches. I spent years in the business world training leaders and growing business and church. So this book covers the relationship of church leadership and congregation as one team in unity. It hits home with knowing your position and the affects you have on the entire body. They must think as a team, know their position as vital, and the long term goal the body is seeking to reach, known as the vision of the church. Like any football, baseball or basketball team it requires a team effort, continual practice, meetings and training. Pastors must understand they are players as well as the coach. They are not the owners of the team; they are part of the team. Every leadership position and congregation in the pews must be actively involved as team members. Believing in God and yourself is a vitally important part of true Christian Church. Never be ashamed of what you are trying to do for the kingdom of God, regardless of how it appears. Whatever your position, leadership or a Saint in training, never use the world as your goal to please or look good. Everything we do for Jesus, He will honor and help us and direct us. If we get off base a little He will correct our direction. Just keep in mind that whatever your position is, it is a growth-oriented ministry and Jesus will work beside you through any changes required. If any team, football, baseball, track team or Church team is not consistent and stable then discouragement is expected and may bring the team down (Proverbs 29:18). No sports team or business, and especially the local church team should ever enter into the league without a plan with a goal and lots of training. Every great person in the Bible has a goal so why would we think that the modern church doesn't need to be trained and ready for warfare. That is the reason for getting the entire congregation involved with frequent encouragement that will keep them active and others wanting to get active. In every church there is either a spirit of witness or a lack of the spirit of witness. You can always tell which is which by looking at the number of visitors on Sunday's. It is possible for any church to change their negative lack of witnessing to a very positive witnessing church, but not over night. That is what book teaches, how to grow your church.
