God as Communion contributes to the contemporary task of seeking to retrieve the central Christian symbol of the Triune God. It explores the trinitarian theologies of the Greek Orthodox of John Zizioulas and the Roman Catholic feminist theologian Elizabeth Johnson. Within the context of a feminist liberation theology, it shows how these theologians from their different theological traditions and starting points provide a rich resource for the retrieval of this ancient symbol. Finally, the author offers a constructive proposal towards a reclaiming of this symbol of God. She argues that the Triune God is an eminently practical doctrine that challenges Christians to transforming changes.
