I didn't write God Hates Religion because of a feeling that my religious experiences are unusual. No, I'm writing it to describe lost knowledge haunting contemporary Christian teachings: it is missing the connection with its own Jewish roots. The missing Jewish roots are the ancient Hebrew Torah Scriptures. Jesus himself often quoted Torah as the authority for his own teachings. He also opined: "You err, not knowing the scriptures." Since the New Testament (NT) had not been written yet, Jesus could only have been referring to Torah. Torah was the original word in Jesus' sentence, but was translated to English using the misleading term scriptures. The present 2014 rewrite of God Hates Religion is due to newly found information from Hebrew biblical experts. This edition reintroduces the original meanings of some of the Hebrew words in which Yehovah chose to express Himself in Torah. These meanings are missing from Christian teachings They describe the Way for a believer to be both follower of Yeshua AND of Yehovah's Torah. This is the "Way" spoken of throughout NT. Become a new human who lives by the same Torah Words taught and lived by Jesus. Leave defense of your church behind. This is for YOUR personal knowledge. Unless we know and understand the Jewish roots context of our bible, disrespect for the Creator's Words will continue to its prophesied outcome.
