The book considers the historical basis to the establishment of Ombudsman and National Human Rights Institutions globally and by so doing considers the influence they have in today's world in ensuring the promotion of the rule of law, constitutionalism, protection of human rights amongst others.The book reviews the work of Ghana's CHRAJ under Ghana's 4th Republican constitutional era. It further assesses its achievements, contributions and challenges faced. It highlights the critical role that CHRAJ plays in promoting and protecting human rights.

Reginald Nii Odoi is a practicing Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana. He possesses an LL.M Degree from Harvard Law School. He had his LLB Degree at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) with First Class Honors. His goal is to contribute to re-envisioning the way effective could be done in today's world.
