"The limits of my language mean the limits of my world." As Wittgenstein once said, language skills are now even more important to society than ever before due to the internationalization of the professional and working world. The increase in migration is also leading to a growing demand for multilingual institutions. Bilingualism is coming to the fore. For immigrants in their new country, learning the local language is essential. Educators in particular are challenged and must take a different approach based on new language developments in order to support migrant children. Bilingual schooling must become more firmly established in today's education system. Intellectuals have long been calling for a "drastic rethink" and a reorientation towards bilingualism. Projects such as the State European School are already promoting this. Nevertheless, bilingual institutions remain in the minority throughout Germany, as is the case with Spanish institutions. The changed linguistic reality in Germany calls for a change in the situation with regard to bilingual institutions. Only in this way can Europe grow together in the future.
