Michael E. Adams is a professor of Entomology, Cell Biology & Neuroscience at the University of California Riverside. He is well-known for his research in hormonal regulation of development and innate behaviors; isolation, characterization and physiological actions of arthropod venom toxins. He has won numerous awards for his excellent work in insect physiology. He was the recipient of the 2006 Entomological Society of America, Recognition Award in Insect Physiology and was recognized as a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 2002.
