It appears O.C.P. was local pottery during pre and mature Harappan phase and itcontinued even after the Harappan till 1100 B.C. at Sringverpur in upper Ganga plain and later on it dilutedand its tradition transformed into the other potteries in middle Ganga plain. Its legacy continued in otherceramics like backed slipped ware of mid Ganga plain. Harappan forms are present in O.C.P.
