Rowan, Clare Clare Rowan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Classics and Ancient History at the University of Warwick. She bridges the disciplines of Roman history and numismatics, with recognised research excellence, having won a European Research Council Starting Grant, while her teaching excellence has been recognised through numerous awards, including the Warwick Award for Teaching Excellence and an Australian Learning and Teaching Council Award for Programmes that Enhance Learning (shared). She is the editor of the Coins at Warwick blog, which encourages and disseminates studies of different coins and what they reveal about the ancient world.
