Ointments are made from animal, minerals & plant extracts that were widely utilized in Egyptian & Babylonian healthcare in 3000BC. The skin, vagina, eye, and nose are the principal routes for topical delivery that have been extensively studied. The present research was based on formulation and evaluation of Nanogel of Etodolac for topical action in Rheumatoid Arthritis. Nanogel was prepared using standard procedure then was evaluated using various parameters i.e., pH, % drug content, Physical appearance, Droplet size & Polydispersity index (PDI), In-vitro drug release, Viscosity, Stability and Rheumatoid factor. In results, it exhibited a better compatible nanogel when formulated and evaluated for different parameters. It showed a better drug release in in-vitro drug release and anti-rheumatoid arthritis potential when decreased rheumatoid factor in rats. In conclusion, it has proven as a potent anti-rheumatic arthritis agent. Nanogel may be effective due to its better drug release and physicochemical parameters. It can be tested in clinical trials and then recommended in the cure of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in humans.
