The new federal educational standards (FSES) set new tasks for the school: creating a learning environment that motivates students to independently acquire, process, and share the information they receive. Addressing these challenges has necessitated the use of new pedagogical approaches and technologies in today's general education school. Acquisition of knowledge - theoretical in its essence and encyclopedic in its breadth - for a long time was considered the main goal of education. Now the acquisition of knowledge is seen as a means for solving problems associated with the formation of personality, its social adaptation, familiarization with the values of culture. In other words, the learning orientation inherent in the domestic school is being replaced by a competence-oriented approach to education. One of the innovative educational technologies that support this approach is the project-based approach, which has a place in the new FSES. The main thing in the new standard is the personal outcome of learning, education of the child.
