Can this expansion be called growth and development? Scientific evaluations appear to concur with this conclusion. Ultimately, advancement along the spiritual path is an individual experience. Nevertheless, society has a responsibility to its citizens to pave the way for that advancement by establishing and maintaining for all its citizens the quality of life that accelerates that process. When it ignores that responsibility it fails in its duty. The intellectual as well as moral fiber becomes torn asunder and rendered helpless. Each individual gains by the advancement of anyone, whether friend, neighbor, or stranger on the other side of the globe. "No man is an island, entire of itself," applies to everyone without exception. Our global community is the embodiment of the Architect's design. How effectively we work within that design determines the progress of us all.
