Financial management is a branch of general management and has as its primary objective the substantiation of financial decisions of businesses with the goal of achieving performance in a market economy. This book is split in two main parts: Financial Management-Theoretical Issues and Financial Management-Practical Issues. In the theoretical part we have addressed issues such as: the definition of Financial Management, study tasks, functions, purpose, decisional processes, methods, techniques, models utilized by Financial Management, corporate governance, insolvency and liquidation. In the second part we have addressed practical issues of financial diagnostics, performance of business, financial equilibrium, insolvency of business, factors that influence financial return and solvency of business. The issues addressed in the book make it a useful instrument for business managers, professionals and students (including MA and PhD) of economics.
