Ng g wa Thiong'o's main feature, as a writer, is his unerring commitment to wrench power from exploiters to hand it back to the masses. Edouard Diouf studied at Gaston Berger University, Saint-Louis (Sénégal) where he got his Master's degree in African literature (he wrote on the novels of Ng g wa Thiong'o), and his Doctorate in Comparative literature (African and Caribbean), written on the novels of Maryse Condé, Buchi Emecheta, Ahmadou Kourouma and Vidiadhar Surajprasad Naipaul.
