Trafficking of women is an illicit and clandestine movement of persons across the national and international borders. Women from developing countries and some countries with economic in transition are trapped with promises of false employment, marriage, adoption and later forced into exploitative situations for the profit of recruiters, traffickers and crime syndicates. This illicit trade has been going on around the world for centuries. Currently, it is an evident problem for the countries like Mexico, where women from small towns and rural areas trapped with many promises, and later sold in metropolitan cities as sex workers, table dancers, domestic servants and as many others. Thus, the main objective of this book is to visualize the problem of women trafficking in Mexico and investigate the major causes and consequences of trafficking of women in the country.
