I was so tired. The past 5 years had taken a toll on my life and I was completely fed up You know that feeling deep down that you feel when you know you are destined for so much more that where you are in life? Well, that is exactly where I was at this point and I just knew something had to change. In fall 2014 I was on my way to Whole Foods to pick up a few items for the week after church service. On the walk I noticed a monarch butterfly on the concrete pavement and something told me to stop. It was so beautiful. I spoke to the butterfly and asked it to come over, to my surprise it did It flew right over to my feet and just stayed. It was so close to me that as it gently opened and closed its wings the tip of its left wing grazed my boot. I stood still and took in the moment. It felt like there was some profound significance in this occurrence. This was happening in 2014, so of course I had to capture the moment with a selfie. Me and my beautiful butterfly at my feet. I have always been a very spiritual being. Fasting was not a new concept to me, however I never fasted for an entire year and just the thought of it seemed so extreme but absolutely necessary for the much needed make-over of my life. I heard once that if you want to have what most won't you must also be willing to do the things that most won't. I don't know anyone in my life at this moment that would be as extreme as fasting for one entire year. During my fast of 2015 the following things were all sacrificed and no longer an option for consumption. Alcohol, Processed sugar, bread, pasta, processed drinks, white flour, wheat flour, candy, and processed foods in general. I wanted to focus on whole foods and alkaline water as my main consumption during this process. In this book I will be transparent about my starting weight and health prior to beginning. I want you to understand what the impact was on my body and on my life with this decision. I also need to mention that I am writing a series of twelve books. One book covering each month during the time of my fast completion. You will join me on this journey as I experience weight loss, mood swings, withdrawals, gains, and spiritual growth. I am amazed when I look back on all of the changes that have occurred within the first 3 three months. Today is April 6, 2015 and although this is the beginning of my fourth month, I get a bit emotional because this story is amazing, too amazing not to share with other people out in the world who need a life make-over. I encourage you to read this book if you are like me, and need the universe to shift, see your intentions clearly and grant your hearts desires. I would like to dedicate this book to my Irradiant Inspiration for being 110% supportive on my journey. To you I say, although I may have been able to complete this sacrifice without you, your supportive and cheerleading skills were always right on time. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. To everyone else, especially those of you taking the time to read these words, I appreciate your support and I know you are reading this book for a reason. Trust and know that you are being guided by a greater force and like the caterpillar, you are on your way to developing beautiful wings purposed to carry you into a wonderful new phase of your life
