Christians should be the example, set the standard, show others how to exist until we get to eternity. We are to be the living witnesses, living sacrifices, willing servants and willing vessels that God can use to help others realize that a real relationship with Him starts by sacrificing themselves to be more like Christ, and it is the only way.
