Jon Winek earned his Ph.D. in sociology at the University of Southern California. Dr. Winek is a professor in the Department of Human Development and Psychological Counseling at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, where he teaches courses in family therapy and counseling. Dr. Winek is licensed as both a professional counselor and a marriage and family therapist.
