The Saudi Arabian population has a homogenous culture coming from Islamic religion which depends on Holy Quran and Sunna (saying and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad) as its constitution. Child Rights in Islam are identified in three major stages, including before parents' engagement, after parent' engagement and marriage and after the birth of a child, which involved parents' responsibilities toward their children, child needs and safety in Islam. The primary purpose of this study was to add to knowledge about protecting vulnerable children and young people in Saudi Arabia. There has been no evaluation of the impact of the policies and practices developed to protect child and to reduce the child abuse. This exploratory study sought to understand what policies are in place, and how these are being implemented to keep children safe and address the impact of abuse. This study utilized a qualitative design and reviewed the policies of the government and explored the experiences of child protection managers and workers in two sites.
