This paper aims to discuss the benefits of adding ground tyre rubber to petroleum asphalt cement, introducing sustainability concepts into the current panorama through the results obtained in laboratory analysis, proving that the reuse and introduction of ground (or shredded) rubber from waste tyres (BMP) in the production of modified asphalt improves the quality of asphalt mixtures.
