Ethnobotany is the study of plants used by the aboriginals for food, medicines, shelter, clothes and other religious performances in the interior forest areas. The present study was carried out in Srikakulam district to bring out light on the ethnology of tribes, their social customs, traditional beliefs, religious rites, food, drinks, agricultural, economical and medicinal practices. Among the medicinal plants, the data was collected on the plant parts used, its method of collection, processing, preparation of the drug, its dosage, mode of administration, duration of treatment etc. The information was gathered about 386 plant species of ethnobotanical interest on human and veterinary diseases.
