Essential Truths of the Bible Welcome to Essential Truths of the Bible, Volumes I, II and III. This study is designed for an introductory course in the Bible. The most basic truths of the Word of God are clearly presented, not just as an intellectual exercise, but in terms of how these truths shape our lives. It is this shaping of our lives by the Word of God that is the Word's ultimate objective. Our study of God's Word must never be divorced from the purpose of God in our lives-to conform us to the likeness of Christ. It is our lifestyle that the reality of God's Word is imprinted onto our lives. It is only when the words of the Bible are translated into the lifestyle of the Bible that it can be said that we are a people of the Bible. Volume I - Living with God is a Bible study that presents topics about the Word, God, origins, Jesus, the cross, the blood, His resurrection, repentance, grace, faith, water baptism, the Holy Spirit, temptation, fellowship, generosity, the Kingdom of God, worship, prayer, eternity, His second coming, and the call. Volume II - Walking with God is focused on an aspect of what it means to walk with God. You will learn about walking with God, walking as a son, a servant, a disciple, walking the way of the cross, walking yoked with Jesus, walking in the Spirit, in His presence, in blamelessness, as an overcomer, in the ways of God, as a family, in guidance, in humility, in forgiveness, in joy, in persecution, in balance, in perspective, and in God's purpose. Volume III - Working with God shows you that your life in Christ is defined by birthright. You will study about the birthright, taking the baton, the great commission, the body of Christ, the ministry of reconciliation, being filled with the Spirit, ministering to the body of Christ, being a witness, speaking the Word of God, being the salt and light of the earth, seeing signs and wonders, establishing a daily church, making disciples, learning about the new wine, and the goal of ministry. For me, this is a special edition. Its publication represents 35 years of biblical research and personal notes. The ways I teach and write have changed during that period, and much has been discovered about how Christians learn. Technology has also opened new ways to present material. Therefore, I decided it was time to publish my personal research notes. My central goal, as always, is to provide a text that makes teaching and learning the Bible an enthusiastic and positive experience. It is important to me to present the ideas of Christian growth in a way that suits the varied learning styles of my students. It is also my goal to encourage every student to become a critical thinker. I want them to understand the varied concepts that will help them to make informed decisions as they are Living with God, Walking with God and Working with God."
