O autorze

Dr. Craig Rose was educated at the universities of Bristol and Cambridge and was Adrian Research Fellow at Darwin College, Cambridge. A qualified barrister, he is now deputy editor of a legal magazine.

Rose demonstrates that the 1690s, rather than marking the beginning of a placid long eighteenth century, was a decade deeply colored by the experience and memory of the fractious seventeenth century past.
