Energy supply has been falling behind in meeting global demand, and is causing increased focus on efficiency and economy concepts in recent energy policies. Since the existing energy resources are not spread evenly among the countries, but instead are concentrated in certain regions and countries, a monopolistic situation arises. Equally, supply assurance is an issue, since the energy supply is held by certain regions and countries who have monopolistic pricing power. Both the EU and many other countries are studying how to marketize energy. This book focuses on the importance of energy and the problems posed by it. O autorze

Abdulkadir Develi was born in Bayburt (Turkey) in 1979. He holds a BSc from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Fatih University in Istanbul, and an MSc and PhD from the Department of Economics of Selcuk University (Turkey). He is Assistant Professor in the Economics Department at Yildirim Beyazit University in Ankara.
Selahattin Kaynak was born in Agri (Turkey) in 1974. He holds a BSc from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and a PhD from the Department of Economics at the Atatürk Unversity of Erzurum. He is Assistant Professor in the Economics Department at the University of Bayburt (Turkey).
