Irrigation has a central role in endodontic treatment. The irrigants facilitate removal of micro-organisms, tissue remnants and dentin chips from the root canal through a flushing mechanism.Till date none of the irrigant posses ideal quality that is why in contemporary endodontic practice, dual irrigants have complemented each other to overcome the shortcomings that are associated with the use of a single irrigant.
