Being employed is not the only way to earn an income and to achieve social inclusion. This study reveals that Network Marketing (NM) may be an appropriate vehicle to improve the life quality of individuals, regardless of their level of education. This idea has extended so much that has reached people who earn a minimum income, known as the Bottom of the Pyramid (BOP). Consequently, it is analyzed the viability of NM in the BOP, concluding that greater dissemination and implementation of networked systems could bring a greater wealth to society and a huge relief to poverty. Addtionally, it is said that there must be a greater commitment from multinational companies toward the neediest peoples' segment.
