Forsythe Refuge is located in Atlantic, Burlington, and Ocean Counties, and consistis of two divisions: the Brigantine Division and the Barnegat Division. The Refuge extends along more than 50 miles of the coast. This Refuge was renamed in 1984 in memory of the late conservationists Congressman from New Jersey, Edwin Forsythe, through a Congressional Joint Resolution.
