The Editor: Teacher, school librarian, and library consultant, Carol Smallwood has an M.A. in history and an M.L.A. in library science. She has written, co-authored, and edited sixteen books for educators such as Michigan Authors (1993), Insider's Guide to School Libraries (1997), and others. She has had over a hundred poems accepted within the last two years in literary magazines such as English Journal and Poesia.
