Dr. Atwi Suparman is Former Rektor of Universitas Terbuka (UT) in Indonesia (the Open University of Indonesia) and retired Professor Emeritus of Instructional Design; Prof. Suparman has worked extensively with ICT to facilitate more interactive learning processes within the distance education system in Indonesia; he has been initiated many project at UT and has been disseminating academic administration and information to other Indonesian institutions and to the ministry of education. As the Chair of IPTPI and Rektor of UT, he signed the Memorandum of Understanding between UT and AECT that was recently renewed and expanded to include three additional institutions.
Dr. Kay Persichitte is Professor and former Dean of Graduate Education, and she has served as Director of Teacher Education at the University of Wyoming and Department Chair at the University of Northern Colorado; she is President of the Association of Educational Communications a
nd Technology and a widely published author in the broad area of educational technology. She was one of the organizers of ETWC 2016.
Dr. J. Michael Spector is a Professor and Former Chair of Learning Technologies at the University of North Texas. He was previously Professor of Educational Psychology and Instructional Technology at the University of Georgia, Professor of Instructional Systems at Florida State University, Chair of Instructional Design, Development and Evaluation at Syracuse University, and Director of the Educational Information Science and Technology Research Program at the University of Bergen. He earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy from The University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Spector served on the International Board of Standards for Training, Performance and Instruction (ibstpi) as Executive Vice President; he is a Past President of the Association for Educational and Communications Technology. He is editor of Educational Technology Research &a
mp; Development and edited the third and fourth editions of the Handbook of Research on Educational Communications and Technology, as well as the Encyclopedia of Educational Technology, and an organizer of ETWC 2016.
This is an edited volume based on expanded versions of the best 30 papers presented at ETWC 2016 in Bali.
