The sustainable soil management (SSM) is crucial for sustainable production of crops and soil health. The study on economic impact of sustainable soil management practices concluded higher farm gross return with the use of SSM practices in the mid-hill of Nepal. Farmer's income from vegetable farming had increased after the adoption SSM practices. Study resulted significant contribution of hired human labor, expenditure on seed, expenditure on chemical inputs and organic manure. Study also showed that resources in vegetable production are not utilized in their optimum level. Majority of the respondents were satisfied with the technology. Impact of SSM practices was also found positive in livestock sector, women empowerment, introduction of improved seed and soil fertility improvement. Use of SSM practices on farm can be a perfect and sustainable substitute of agro-chemicals that Nepal spends billions of rupees to import every year.
