Der Münchner Michael Lechner, geboren 1969, studierte nach seiner kaufmännischen Ausbildung Völkerkunde und Amerikanistik. Seit 1989 reist er regelmäßig nach Nord-, Mittel- und Südamerika, Australien und Indonesien. Seine Reiseschwerpunkte verlagerten sich in den letzten Jahren immer mehr in Richtung Kanada, Alaska, Skandinavien und den gesamten Alpenraum. Davon verbrachte er etwa 40 Wochen in den Atlantischen Provinzen Kanadas. Seine Faszination für die vielfältige und einzigartige Natur zwischen Sankt-Lorenz-Strom und Atlantik ist auch nach 15 Reisen in diese Region ungebrochen.
