This is a story which should appeal to both young and old alike. It was conceived and written based upon the universal concept of God's Law, "Love Thy Neighbor," and that many working together as a team, are more successful working towards a common goal. Earl The Squirrel is the hero in this story, where different animals and species live together in one tree, the same way we all live in one World-get it? They are led by Earl The Squirrel, who tells them that if everyone would go out and gather whatever food they can, they will be prepared to survive through the Winter. When the job is done, they celebrate and feel rewarded for co-operating with one another in order for all to prosper together, "The End." Just like Earl and his family and friends, we too can survive the next "major storm" or "911" if we can learn to live, in peace, as one big family. We must lead in finding better ways to resolve conflict with those we may disagree with, while learning to manage our own anger. "I believe in the concept that 'it takes a village' to prepare our young people to get along on this precious Earth that God has so graciously allowed us to exist." While this is a basic Christian value, there are no direct references to any particular religious belief. The basic principles of Love, Peace and togetherness are concepts that need to be encouraged in these troubling times. There is a lot of "bad" in the World these days, but our children represent all that is good. "It is for them that my heart is guided."
