The primary objective of this book is to make it available to students, researchers, and those who are working on case study projects. The statistical models are established to investigate the effect of machining parameters on surface roughness, tool wear, cutting forces and vibration of the work piece in boring of Inconel 718. A full factorial design of experiments is used with process variables of spindle speed, feed rate and depth of cut. According to design of experiments, 27 experiments were conducted on Inconel 718 with multi-layered TiCN-Al 2 O 3 -TiN coated carbide inserts. Online data acquisition of cutting forces on the cutting tool and the work piece vibrations are measured by using piezo-electric dynamometer and laser Doppler vibrometer (LDV) respectively.
