Dolly kept her diary from 1954 until 1975, documenting her life in north-central Minnesota. This is the second part of her journey, faithfully transcribed by her granddaughter. The little resort was running at full tilt now, and we hear about lasting friendships and lots of new friends being made. Bud and Bob worked with the rural electric company, blazing a pathway through the forest to make way for the electric line and the resort was the final stop for that. The phone lines went up quickly, used by several small resorts and farmers who lived on the Ponsford prairie. Both the power and the phones weren't always reliable, but people were grateful to have them. Here, then, is the rest of Dolly's story.
