Environmental problems pose a serious threat to the world's natural resources and to all of us who depend on them for food and shelter. Agriculture is one of the major contributors of the environmental problems. The cropping pattern in India is changing fast, particularly in favour of export-oriented commercial crops. These crops cause threat to environment. Grapes (Vitis vinifera) is one such crop which accelerates environmental degradation. The study was taken up to analyse the characteristics of the grape growers; document the environmental issues in the study area and enlist the causes for the issues by studying adoption of recommended grapes growing technologies by grapes growers; constraints in their adoption; find out the relationship between characteristics and adoption of the grapes growers and suggest a suitable module for combating the issues.

Obtained her post graduation and Ph.D.,(Agricultural Extension) at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. Is serving as teacher for 7 years.
