She has written numerous articles and books, focusing on effective instructional strategies, differentiated instruction, and technology. Joni is also passionate about professional development and has developed many train-the-trainer programs, as well as done significant work in using technology for professional development. She lives in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and is a popular local, national, and international presenter., Linda G. Allen is an educational specialist, speaker, and writer. She works with both general education and special education teachers from kindergarten through high school, and provides training for substitute teachers, paraprofessionals, and parents. Her long-time interest in brain-compatible research has provided opportunities to extend her knowledge of brain-compatible strategies, of building communities of learners, and of teaching students with special needs. Nickelsen is a nationally recognized presenter, consultant, and author with a passion for the learning experience and those who lead it. Prior to founding Maximize Learning, LeAnn was a classroom educator and was awarded Teacher of the Year for her excellence in the classroom. She has written multiple books and frequently presents on a wide range of topics, including brain research, differentiation, deeper learning, reading and vocabulary strategies, and nutrition affecting cognition. She is known for deli
