A stronger immune system is crucial for fending off numerous diseases. Better the immune system healthier the human body. Proper nutritional diet plays an important role in the development of the immune system. As the age of the person increases and moves above 60 years, accordingly, the immune system gets weaker and body the becomes prone to various diseases which are caused due to deficiencies or due to the viral infections. Hence it becomes necessary to prepare, follow and track the nutritional intake of the human body. To maintain the necessary nutrients in required amount so as to make the elder human body healthy,our system provides an artificial intelligence based nutritional assessment and diet recommendation model for elderly people in India. In the proposed model for ease of access, a graphical user interface is provided. Through this GUI, by providing a picture of the food or fruit it is possible to calculate the approximate nutrients in the selected meal. To implement this section, at the back end, the Xception model is used with ImageNet weight. Here, the database of the images comprising of 18 distinct foods for training and validation purpose.
