As an Afro-American septuagenarian who has no access to power, no access to a treasure trove of Administration documents, I can only present my impressions, my feelings, and my perspective from what I read, listen to and see in the general media. My perspective is colored by an exceptional sense of pride for the first Afro-American President of these United States. I am biased by the oratorical poetry that has swayed me over the last several years; I am biased by the intellectual prowess and quick study of a man who has stepped into extraordinarily challenging circumstances and has performed admirably, be it local economic issues or global international stresses. Sure, I have read about the discord and lack of long term strategic thinking by the President's West Wing staff. I have also read about the tenacity and spousal support of Michelle Obama in defending 'her man'. I am clearly on the side of the First Lady who recognizes the breadth and depth of the President's passion to do right by the American people. Our President is a good man If we do not recognize and reward him with a second term, history will document the loss that we will have suffered by not allowing Barack Hussein Obama to lead us boldly into the 21st century.
