Natural and manmade embankment is Present on the eastern bank. The area is a Diamond Harbour Tourist spot: natural resources river of Hoogly. Tube wells form the major source of potable water. The Sweet water lies in an aquifer at an average depth of 100-1200ft, below m.s.1 potable water is also supplied by the local municipality.
