This study aims at determining the demand for labor in the kofar wambai shoe making industry where hundred firms were selected as employers and two employees were selected in each firm making a total number of two hundred employees selected in the study area primary source was used to gather information and ordinary least square method as well as probit regression analyses were used for data analysis.

The author holds BSC, MSC in Economics,Master in Banking and Finance and Post Graduate Diploma in Education all of which he obtained from Bayero University Kano. He is currently a lecturer in the department of Economics,Faculty of Social and Management Sciences,Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil-Kano,Nigeria. He is married with three children.
