But the real star of the film are the monsters-a squad of mutant mosquitoes brought about by Man's hubris and wanton destruction of the Earth. As bad as the outbreak of Dengue, the response by modern science is far more horrid. The treatment is offered as a film to be made in the Hollywood style of decidedly "B" movies, low-budget, drive-in fare, written for Ed Wood to direct.
