Robinson deftly ilustrates the historical landscape of aesthetic theory, and emotion theory from philosophical, psychological, behaviourist, and neuro-physiological perspectives, and the book is surprisingly ambitious in the sheer number of thinkers whose works are discussed over the course of the book.
