The association between venous thromboembolic disease (VTED) and cancer is well established and has been the subject of several studies. The aim of our study was to determine the epidemiological, anamnestic, clinical, and therapeutic characteristics of VTE associated with cancer and to clarify the value of etiological investigation to identify underlying neoplasia in cases of deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
