Lisa Smith is Senior Lecturer in Criminology at the University of Leicester, UK, and Co-Founder and Associate Director of the Alec Jeffreys Forensic Science Institute.

John Bond OBE is Senior Lecturer in Forensic Sciences at the University of Leicester, UK, and was previously Head of Forensic Services for Northamptonshire Police.
