She holds a MLS and doctorate in library science and has been trained in principles of user needs assessment, interface design, information architecture principles, and usability. She has created multiple digital exhibits and assorted projects in the agricultural digital humanities including those focused on the poet Robert Frost, the agricultural scientist George Washington Carver, the USDA Bureau of Home Economics, and the Local Food movement, among others.
