Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has grown in importance, significance, and acceptance in the last decades in different scenarios and sectors. CSR has been included in multiple debates, theories, studies, and research around the world. Over the past decade, Ibero-American countries (Latin America, Portugal, and Spain) have improved in economic terms where CSR practices have helped in this development. Community-based initiatives have emerged in the last years in Ibero-America as a result of CSR commitment among organizations, especially multilateral agencies that have served as a link between government, private sector, and society. In spite of these CSR efforts, there are still many inequalities in this region. This book explores and examines different concepts, perspectives and emerging trends about CSR and Corporate Governance in Ibero-America. More specifically, it makes contributions and develops suggestions for understanding and analyzing the complex relationship between organizations, business, and society in a region that is still embracing the different opportunities that CSR has for improving quality of life.
